How did GIS shape who you are today?
Beyond the academic excellence, the GIS experience is truly international and through the lessons and friends I made here, I have felt at home anywhere in the world. GIS doesn’t just shape incredibly talented individuals but it made me more ambitious than I would normally admit or would otherwise have been, GIS alumni tend to aim a little higher and tend to go a lot further than everybody else.
What was your favourite subject?
My favourite subject was Economics and it was what I went on to study in university.
What is your best memory of GIS?
My best memory of GIS is probably the last week of Year 13. We nailed the grades and ‘redecorated’ the whole school. I specifically remember walking out of the Grand Hall on Graduation Day and thinking about my first few days in GIS, I had no idea what I was getting myself into but I was taking my first steps around the school that would mark one of the best times of my life. Mostly I wished I could do it all over again, I probably still do.
