Rasmit Singh Harmit Singh (Class of 2013) – DEDICATION MESSAGE

“I would first of all like to thank my parents, as without them I wouldn’t have been able to attend GIS in the first place! I am very grateful to them for giving me the opportunity to study at GIS for 13 years.

Even though I’ve left GIS, I still have fond memories of the school. Speaking of which, I would like to thank the school for encouraging me to get involved in activities outside the classroom and teaching me that life is not only about books. This allowed me to gain exposure and confidence which I may not have obtained at another school.

Finally, I would not be where I am today without the excellent teachers that supported me throughout my journey. One that springs to mind is Dr. Conti. He was my form tutor for 5 years and he acted as a father figure for me during my secondary and IGCSE years – I am very fortunate to have him in my life, and wish him luck in the future.

I’m also fortunate to have had a wonderful group of teachers to help nurture me and push me in the right direction including: Ms Yap, Ms Jones, Ms Petersen, Ms Cusworth, Ms Berney, Ms Bright, Mr Trask and many more.

Life at GIS and the amazing GIS teachers taught me to become more open-minded, which is something needed in today’s globalised world and something I cherish dearly.”
