The inaugural Alumni Social Gathering in Singapore took place on 22nd March 2013. The location was convenient for all and the atmosphere cozy! We had a room to ourselves, a TV and delicious food.
Although none of those who came were from the same cohort, everyone had exciting tales to tell. We had a great time reminiscing over the teachers and staff who contributed to the different generations!
One of the alumni members, Mervyn Tan, was with GIS when it was operating in the Pekeliling campus in the 70s. He shared some humorous stories about his time in GIS, including his opinion about the uniform colour back in those days! “Lime Green”, he said with much amusement.
Everyone enjoyed the session and can’t wait to attend the next event when we told them that we will be planning for another social gathering in Kuala Lumpur at the end of the year.
