GIS Year 11 & Y13 – Awards and Graduation Ceremony 2022!

GIS YEAR 11 & Y13 – AWARDS AND GRADUATION CEREMONY 2022!

Congratulations to our Year 11 and Year 13 students for reaching a significant milestone in their educational journeys. We are so proud of your hard work, commitment and resilience!

After two years of online events, we were finally fortunate enough to be able to hold this year’s graduation ceremonies in school. It was wonderful to bring everyone together in person to celebrate the incredible successes of our students together.

We are grateful to have been joined by two incredibly inspiring keynote speakers- GIS Alumni Min Lim from Class the of ‘99 who was the keynote speaker for Y11 and Ms Sandeep Judge, a political secretary from the British High Commission, who was the guest speaker for Y13.  Thank you to all the staff and students who worked behind the scenes for the success of this event.

Keynote Speaker for Y11:

Min Lim, GIS Alumni Class of ‘99,

Min is Head of Production at award-winning production house Double Vision. Growing up on television sets, Min has been working on visual arts projects since she began as a production assistant at 16. She has writing, directing and live venue producing experience under her belt but show running is her passion. Some of her credits include being Executive Producer of the highly acclaimed Asian adaptation of The Bridge, as well as award-winning sitcoms and dramas such as Kopitiam: Double Shot and Beautiful World.

Keynote Speaker for Y13:

Ms Sandeep Judge, Political Secretary, British High Commission, Kuala Lumpur.

Sandeep Judge has been the political secretary at the British High Commission in Malaysia since July 2021, where she is responsible for parliamentary reform and rule of law.  Sandeep joined the Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office in 2007. We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to both speakers for joining us, and we wish our newest cohort of Alumni, our Class of 2022, all the success in the world!
