The GIS Alumni Office would like to thank Mr Ganesan Nethi, Alumni (class of 1999) for being the Guest Speaker at the Year 13 2019 Graduation. Ganesan is a partner in the law firm Messrs Tommy Thomas, and has 12 years’ experience practising as a lawyer in the Courts of Malaysia and arbitration.
Ganesan is a litigator, specializing in commercial disputes primarily involving companies, shares and land. He also undertakes constitutional and public interest litigation, in line with the firm’s practice. In his 12 years with the firm, Ganesan has appeared at all levels of the Courts of Malaysia: Federal Court; Court of Appeal; High Court and Sessions Court.
Ganesan read law at Cardiff University, UK and has a Master’s degree in Securities Law from Georgetown University, Washington DC, USA. He has been admitted to practise as an advocate and solicitor in Malaysia, as a barrister in England, and as an attorney at law in the State of New York, USA.
